An Area to set up a sector specific SEZ for IT & IT enabled services

Whereas, M/s. Satyam Computer Services Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology enabled services at Survey Number 62/1A, at Bahadurpally Village, Ranga Reddy District, Hyderabad in the State of Andhra Pradesh;

AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, had notified an area of 10.5 hectares area at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notifications Numbers S.O. 1471(E) dated 11th September, 2006;

AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, further approved the request for transfer of formal approval from M/s. Satyam Computer Services Limited to M/s. Tech Mahindra Ltd, vide letter dated 16th September, 2013;

AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Tech Mahindra Ltd has now proposed for de-notification of 3.24 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone;

AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Telangana has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No.86/IT&C/Prom2/2006, dated 21st July, 2016;

AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 3.24 hectares of the Special Economic Zone;

NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 3.24 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 7.26 hectares, comprising the survey numbers and the area given below in the table, namely:-
