An Australian infrastructure consulting firm on Tuesday finalised a deal with an Indian data services provider in Singapore to deliver superior energy efficiency solutions to their Asia Pacific customers. Australia-based Green Global Solutions which has its Asia Pacific office in Singapore, said it will be entitled to deploy 'GFS Crane DCIM' software during its consulting engagements with Data Centre customers. The real-time measurements and analytic reports of power and environmental conditions from 'GFS Crane DCIM' would enable the Green Global team to deliver accelerated and superior outcomes of energy efficiency, risk, cooling and sustainability recommendations to data centre owners and operators, it said. This partnership will for the first time extend the reach of the company's products across Asia Pacific, Founder- Director of Kolkata-based GreenField Software Shekhar Dasgupta said. “I am confident our association would provide significant value to Green Global's Data Centre customers looking to improve operational efficiencies, reduce energy costs, mitigate risks and becoming a greener data centre,” he said. “We look forward to a long-term relationship with GreenField Software, and are very pleased to have them on board as a Genesis partner,” said Bob Sharon, Founder and CEO of Green Global Solutions. “We are excited about the potential to dig deep and uncover hidden treasures, thus allowing for amazing cost and carbon foot print reductions while mitigating risks,” he said. Green Global Solution's collaboration with GreenField Software was driven by the industry's need towards Capital and Operating cost reduction, Risk Management against downtime and reducing 'Scope 2 GHG' (Greenhouse Gas) emissions due to Data Centre Operations. GreenField Software provides 'GFS Crane DCIM' software that helps data centres control capital costs, reduce operating expenses and mitigate the risks of failures. Scope 2 accounts for GHG emissions from the generation of purchased electricity consumed by a firm. Such emissions occur at the facility where electricity is generated. The partnership was announced at the Datacentre Dynamics Converged, the business of data centre in South East Asia, conference which opened in Singapore on Tuesday.
