Indian firm to export gold jewellery worth Rs.1,122 crore to UAE
Indian jewelry manufacturer Rajesh Exports Limited (REL) on Monday said that it has bagged an order for supplying gold and diamond studded designer ornaments worth Rs.1,122 crore to the United Arab Emirates. The order which is set to be completed by March 31, 2016 will be executed at the company’s manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, which is recorded as the world’s largest gold product manufacturing facility, the REL said in a statement. Spread over 12 acres of land, the manufacturing facility has an installed capacity to process 250 tonnes of jewelry per annum. Earlier, the gold products exporter had got an order worth Rs 1,360 crore in the month of October. As the largest gold refiner in the world, REL has presence in across the value chain of gold from mining to its own retail brand. Spread around 80 retail jewelry showrooms in India under the brand name SHUBH jewelers, REL supplies its products in wholesale to jewelry showrooms across India and also exports to various countries. With the recent acquisition of Valcambi, the world's largest gold refinery at Switzerland, along with its Indian refinery, the company has the total refining capacity of 2400 tonnes of precious metals per annum. Among its various manufacturing facilities, REL has a total installed capacity to manufacture 400 tonnes of world class gold products per annum.
