L&T construction gets orders worth Rs.3,205 crore

The Larsen & Toubro Limited has got orders around Rs.3,205 crore for its several businesses including its business & Factories and Transmission & Distribution

Larsen & Toubro Limited has won an order of almost Rs.3,205 crore for its several businesses of which its building and factories division got major orders worth Rs.2,018 crore. However, its transmission and distribution division bagged orders of Rs.710 crore in the domestic and international markets.

In the power transmission & distribution division: The company got orders valuing Rs.710 crore in the domestic and international markets.  

The company received an order from Oman Electricity Transmission Company to construct 400 KV reactor transformers and associated work related to transformers at Sur and Izki substations.

In the domestic market, it bagged the main order from PowerGrid Southern interconnector Transmission System Limited for the construction of a 400 KV double circuit transmission line linking Cuddapah to Madhugiri.  

It also got an additional order from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for the construction of a 765Kv circuit transmission line at Cuddapah.

In the buildings & factories business: L&T bagged an order from a Mumbai developer for a major turnkey residential project. The project contains mechanical, structural, electrical, civil, plumbing and finishing works for six towers, and every tower has around 55 to 60 floors. The company has got other orders from numerous customers for the growth of commercial and residential spaces.

In the metallurgical & material handling business: L&T bagged orders worth Rs.177 crore, containing its first direct order to implement an Ash Handling Plant cover high concentration slurry disposal systems on an engineering, procurement and construction basis from NTPC Ltd for the Tanda Thermal Power Project in Uttar Pradesh.

The company also got orders of around Rs.300 crore from an ongoing job of heavy civil infrastructure business.
