L&T bags orders worth $63.58 million from Oman-based petroleum company
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday announced that it has won engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order worth $63.58 million from Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industrial Company (ORPIC). “The scope covers design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction erection, installation and commissioning of the petroleum coke handling and storage facility at Sohar, Oman,” Larsen & Toubro said in a statement. L&T also secured an EPC order from the world's largest integrated producer of Zinc for the construction of a 1.5 MTPA Lead – Zinc Ore beneficiation plant at the Sindesar Khurd mines in Rajasthan, which also involves EPC, installation and commissioning of the plant. Besides these, the global infra giant also acquired power transmission and distribution projects orders worth Rs.515 crore in both the international and domestic markets. L&T Saudi Arabia bagged an order valued at $56.6 Million for the construction of two 115 kV substations at the Dammam area from National Grid, Saudi Arabia, a subsidiary of Saudi Electricity Company. These projects situated in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia are scheduled to be completed in 22 months. L&T won orders worth Rs.1178 crore across various businesses in the month of December, while metallurgical and material handling businesses of the company has secured Rs.663 crore order during the month. L&T, which has been engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services with over $15 billion revenues, operates in over 30 countries globally.
