Monsanto India records a Q4 net profit at Rs.24.08 crore

Monsanto India has reported a net profit of Rs.24.08 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016. The high income has helped the company recoup from the loss it was suffering during the same period the previous year.
During the same quarter of the previous year, i.e. on March 31, 2015, the company witnessed a net loss of Rs.8.25 crore. The income from the operation increased to Rs.86.85 crore during the January- February quarter of 2015-16 from Rs.67.41 crore during the year-ago period.
The total income of the company saw a growth of 31.82% during the quarter ended March 31, 2015. The total income of the company during the quarter has increased to Rs.93.21 crore from Rs.70.71 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.
However, for the year ended March 31, 2016, the company has posted a fall of 4.75% in its net profit. The net profit for the year was recorded at Rs.101.25 crore for the year as compared to Rs.106.30 crore for the year ended March 31, 2015.
The company’s total income decreased by 3.80% for the year under review. The total income of the company for the year ending March 31, 2016, was Rs.555.75 crore as compared to Rs.577.69 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
Recently, the chemical giant Bayer AG and the German Pharmaceuticals have announced a $62 billion all-cash offer to acquire Monsanto Company.
