Rajesh Exports bags order worth Rs.1188 cr
Rajesh Exports Ltd. on Monday said it has received a Rs.1188-crore export order from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
“Rajesh Exports Ltd. has bagged an export order worth Rs.1,188 crore of designer range of gold and diamond-studded jewellery and medallions from the UAE,’’ the company said in an announcement.
The order is to be completed by June 30, 2016, and the company said it is confident of executing the order within the deadline.
The company’s manufacturing facility in Bangalore, the largest gold products manufacturing facilities in the world with an installed capacity to process 250 tonnes of jewellery and gold products per year, will be used to execute the order.
Indian jewellery and gold products have for long been in huge demand in the overseas markets. And Rajesh Exports, the single-largest constituent of gold business in the world, has been one of the key exporters to the global markets.
Last year, the Bangalore-based company acquired Switzerland’s Valcambi worth $400 million, thereby enhancing its total refining capacity to 2400 tonnes of precious metals per annum.
