Shivraj seeks investors from home, abroad

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Thursday urged global as well as Indian investors to invest in the state, promising them his government’s continuous support in terms of ease of doing business and excellent infrastructure.

Speaking at the “Global Investment Summit 2016 Madhya Pradesh” in New Delhi on Thursday, the Chief Minister said, “The state is focusing on continuous improvement to facilitate ease of doing business and provisioning excellent infrastructure for its investors.”

“The state would like to invite a wish-list from the investors and try to accommodate all that is possible, keeping in mind the interest of the state and its people. A “single window” should be replaced with a “single table,” he said.

On Thursday, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised an interactive session, “Global Investment Summit 2016 Madhya Pradesh” in New Delhi to launch the portal of the prestigious Global Investor Summit and seek more investments in Madhya Pradesh.

The Chief Minister officially launched the portal for investor summit, to be held on October 22 and 23 in Indore, and invited industrialist to develop their businesses in Madhya Pradesh.

Several senior officials including Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Minister of Commerce, Industry & Employment of the state as well as representatives from 44 countries including China, Japan, South Korea, and Canada participated in the session.

“The GIS Portal provides all the information that is required for making investment decisions in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is a one-stop shop for all required information about state policies, incentives, achievements, industrial areas, etc.,” CII said in its statement.
