Govt working on single-window clearance to ease trade
The Dollar Business Bureau The Government of India is working on a mechanism of single-window clearance, in order to achieve smooth trade flow as well as to enhance the ease of doing business. “The government is committed to provide every possible help to the trade and industry and considers them as a partners and stakeholders in the economic revival of India,” said Anup Wadhawan, Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), while speaking to exporters at an event in Ludhiana. Anup Wadhawan takes over as new DGFT
The Dollar Business Bureau Anup Wadhawan takes DGFT charge in replacement to Pravir Kumar ( In file photo) Anup Wadhawan, Additional Secretary in the Department of Financial Services, on Monday, took over the charge of the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). The post was vacated after the transfer of Pravir Kumar who has been made Secretary of Interstate Council Secretariat. According to official sources, Wadhawan’s appointment as DGFT is an interim arrangement and he is expected to stay in the department till March next year.
