Russias support to CPEC, should India be worried?
The Dollar Business Bureau Recently Russia came out in support of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Project even making its intentions that Moscow should try and expand the scope of the CPEC including Russia and other Soviet republics. Though the suggestion by Moscow has not gone down well with India, Moscow is trying to warm up to Pakistan to in order to gain access into Afghanistan. And to do that it is factoring in some of Pakistan’s economic interests to win over Islamabad. Pakistan army chief assures security to $46bn CPEC
The Dollar Business Bureau Pakistan’s Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif has assured complete security to the $46 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said this when he met China’s Premier Li Keqiang and Vice President of the Central Military Commission Fan Changlong on Monday. Gen Sharif admired the friendly relationship between Pakistan and China. He said that Pakistan is ready to cooperate in all means to achieve success from the CPEC. He further deliberated with Chinese officials on the steps to increase mutual cooperation in various aspects including training exchanges, defence technology and intelligence sharing and security of the CPEC. China dismisses India's apprehensions on Silk Road projects
Source: PTI China on Tuesday dismissed any apprehensions in India on its ambitious multi-billion dollar Silk Road projects stretching across continents to build infrastructure and improve connectivity with the avowed aim of expansion of trade and development.
