S&P Global downgrades Qatars rating to AA-

The Dollar Business Bureau Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Thursday announced its electrical and automation business division has secured a Rs.500 crore contract from Qatar Rail Company for phase 1 of Doha Metro. “L&T Electrical & Automation, the competency centre for L&Ts automation business in UAE, has bagged the Rs.500 crore contract from Qatar Rail Company (QRAIL),” L&T said in a statement issued. The scope of the contract covers supply, installation, testing, integration, commissioning and maintenance for a period of five years of a network-wide Building Automation and Control Systems (BACS) for its 37 stations.
