Crude oil output was 3.71% lower than target in July 2017
The Dollar Business Bureau India’s crude oil production was short by 3.71% of the target at 3061.08 TMT in the month July this year, due to water cut problem and less than planned production by the state-owned refiners. In July 2017, the output of crude oil was also 0.53% lower as compared to same month in 2016. During April-July period 2017, cumulative crude oil production was 12084.55 TMT which is 2.64% lower than target for the period but 0.05% higher than production during corresponding period of last year, according to a release by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Indias core sector growth in January slips to 5-month low
The Dollar Business Bureau India’s core industries grew at a slower pace in January as a contraction in the production of refinery products, cement and fertilizer weighed. The overall growth fell to a five-month low at 3.4% in the month, the slowest since August last year, when the sectors had witnessed a growth rate of 3.2%. In January 2016, the rate of growth in eight infrastructure sectors of coal, natural gas, crude oil, refinery products, steel, fertilisers, electricity and cement was 5.7%, while in December 2016, it was 5.6%. The production of refinery products, cement and fertiliser declined by 1.5%, 13.3% and 1.6%, respectively, in the month of January. Domestic production of crude oil, natural gas falls in October
The Dollar Business Bureau Overall refinery production for the period April-October 2015 was 130.87 million tonnes, which was 1.35% higher than the target for the period India’s domestic production of crude oil fell by 2.08% to 3.151 million tonnes in October as compared to 3.218 million tonnes in the same month last year. Overall crude oil production during April-October 2015 was 1.49% higher over its target to 21.832 million tonnes and 0.06% higher as compared to the corresponding period of 2014. Natural gas production in October also registered a marginal decline after cloaking growth in the previous two months.
