Neha Dewan | @TheDollarBiz USA is a top export destination for India and accounts for around 8% of India's total trade The US Trade Representative (USTR), Ambassador Michael Froman, has urged the Indian government to review its Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) as concerns over IPR violations threaten to disrupt India’s exports to USA. Ambassador Froman is in India for the US-India Trade Policy Forum which he co-chaired with India’s Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on November 25, 2014. During the forum, Ambassador Froman urged the Indian government to reduce import tariffs for off-patent drugs, and allow US companies to participate in India’s public solar energy and health insurance programmes.
