GMR Intl Airport to develop and operate Greenfield International airport at Goa

The Dollar Business Bureau The GMR Goa International Airport Limited, an SPV formed by the GMR Airports Limited has won a project to develop and operate a Greenfield International Airport at Mopa, in North Goa. A signed Concession Agreement with the Government of Goa for development and operation of the same was arrived at on 8th November 2016. The project was won by GMR Airports Limited through international competitive bidding process with highest revenue share of 36.99%. The model based on the public-private-partnership is based on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis. GST to attract new investments in Goa

Sheela Mamidenna  The introduction of goods and services tax (GST) will help attract new investments into the coastal state, said GCCI Chairman Narayan Bandekar. “With the introduction of GST, exemptions regime will come to an end that will attract new investments into Goa, majorly in the manufacturing sector on account of the state’s better infrastructure. This will benefit Goa in the long run,” he said recently while interacting with the media. 46 countries to participate in Defence Expo in Goa

"Defexpo India 2016, the ninth in the series of biennial Land, Naval and Internal Homeland Security Systems Exhibition, will be held at Naqueri Quitol in Quepem taluka of South Goa from March 28-31, 2016," the Ministry said on its website designed for this internationally famed event. Steel producers ask Centre to act against growing imports
