At the expo, the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) set up special pavilions, which were inaugurated by Y K Sailas Thangal, the Indian Consulate General in Guangzhou. The expo which is into its fourth year attracts businessmen from China, and countries from South and South East Asia. Indian Chamber of Commerce inks MoU with its Luxembourg counterpart
The Dollar Business Bureau The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on Thursday signed an MoU with the Chamber of Commerce of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to jointly promote and develop trade and economic relations between the two trade partners. This agreement is envisaged to facilitate further co-operation between the members of Luxembourg Chamber and India for discussing concerns and opportunities of mutual interest. As part of the agreement, the two trade bodies will exchange information on the legislation and regulatory procedures required to carry out businesses with each other. CIL set to reach 1 BT production target by 2020
The Dollar Business Bureau As a way to boost the country’s coal production, the Coal India Limited (CIL) on Friday unveiled its roadmap of strategies to be adopted in order to attain the 1 Billion Tonne (BT) coal production mark by 2019-20. While the country’s projections towards coal production stands at around 1,200 MTs by 2019-20 at an envisaged growth rate of 7%, CIL is set to reach 1 BT target of which, 908 MTs is the expected contribution from the identified projects. CILs increased domestic production reduces imports

According to reports from online traders on Monday, decrease in shipments impacted the coal imports that has fallen by 21% in January, over the previous month. The shipments remained low in the month due to a decreased demand from the domestic steel makers, added the report. However, India’s largest online trader ‘mjunction data’, in its report says that the coal imports in January, 2015 recorded 3 % year-on-year increase.
