This is a part of the Indo-Japan strategy to contain China’s marauding moves in the region. The JICF is being set up to focus on connectivity, road development, especially inter-State roads and major district roads, disaster management, food processing, organic farming, and tourism. Honda 2Wheelers overall sales up 20% at 544,508 units in July
The Dollar Business Bureau Backed by growing customer demand and introduction of new products, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Japanese Honda Motor Company, recorded a growth of 20% in its overall sales, including domestic and exports, in July. The company recorded its ever highest exports in a single month at 32,569 units and witnessed a growth of 34%. Adding 3%, Honda’s market share in exports zoomed to an all-time high of 15%. “Growing at a fast pace, Honda 2Wheelers India total sales grew at 20% to 544,508 units in July 2017 as compared to 453,884 units in July last year, the company said in a statement. Japans manufacturing index on a 3 month high, PMI
The Dollar Business Bureau Japan has secured new orders, prompting a 3 month manufacturing high in May supported by stronger increases in output, a survey reported. This is a clear sign that its economy is gaining in momentum in the second quarter of 2017. Japan Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index rose to 53.1 in May stronger than the readings 52.0 and 52.7 recorded in April. This was the highest level recorded since February the survey said. Improvement in operating conditions has been linked to accelerated rises in both manufacturing output and new orders. Japan posts robust export-import growth in March 2017
The Dollar Business Bureau Overriding its tapering domestic economy, Japan's foreign trade in the month of March boosted the overall performance of the world's third largest economy. The Japanese administration announced that exports grew more than the expected 12% while imports jumped 16% year on year during March 2017. A revival of stability in Chinese economy supplemented by a gradually normalising global demand has given Japan much reason to cheer. A trade surplus of $5.6 billion was registered in the month of March as exports grossed $66 billion approximately while imports rose to about $60 billion. Suzuki to export made in India motorcycle model Gixxer to Japan
The Dollar Business Bureau Two wheeler manufacturer Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) said on Wednesday that the company will export its made in India motorcycle Gixxer to Japan. This is for the first time that a motorcycle manufactured by SMIPL is being shipped to the Japanese market where its parent firm Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) is headquartered. SMIPL has already shipped the first consignment to the Japanese market. “The Gixxer model has already been exported to other countries such as Latin America and other surrounding countries. Government should promote vendorisation amongst small & large industries
