Japanese firm all set to start Smart-grid project in Vijayawada
The Dollar Business Bureau In a move towards taking forward the Andhra Pradesh (AP)-Japan collaboration, Japanese-based Fuji Electric was said to have identified a site in Vijayawada, AP capital, for the smart grid project. An official confirmation in this regard was given by Fuji Electric Representative Director Yoshio Okuno, in a review meeting with the AP Chief Minister (CM) N Chandrababu Naidu, on Monday. In a meeting with the AP CM, Fuji Electric representatives report covered analysis on weather conditions, wind direction and correlation between weather and power demand in Vijayawada. The event was attended by more than 30 Japanese delegates and 100 participants from Japanese energy companies. The participants discussed various aspects on building cooperation between the Government of Japan and the Government of Andhra Pradesh to develop infrastructure in the newly formed State.
