India to build pipelines for supply of diesel and gas to Bangladesh

The  Dollar Business Bureau As part of the Framework of Understanding (FoU) on Cooperation in the Hydrocarbon Sector with Bangladesh, India is going to build two pipelines for diesel and natural gas between the two countries. The FoU was approved by the Cabinet soon after the recent visit of Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The said FoU is non-binding in nature and expires after five years. With an objective of strengthening energy ties with its neighbours to enhance regional energy security, India will build a 131 km pipeline for diesel transportation from Siliguri in West Bengal to Parbatipur in Bangladesh. Australias LNG Ltd signs 20 yr deal to supply gas to India

H-Energy gets nod to lay a 635 km gas pipeline

The Dollar Business Bureau  H-Energy Pvt Ltd (HEPL), the energy arm of Hiranandani Group, has been provided the rights by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) for laying gas pipeline of 635 km between Jaigarh in Maharashtra and Mangalore in Karnataka.  The pipeline will link Jaigarh in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district, Panjim in Goa, Karwar in Uttara Kannada district and Udupi district in Karnataka before ending at Mangalore. “The entity is allowed a maximum period of 36 months from the date of issue of the authorisation letter for commissioning of the natural gas pipeline project,” the petroleum regulator said in an order.  The capacity of the pipeline is to carry 17 million metric standard cubic meters per day (mmscmd) of natural ...

The Dollar Business Bureau Union Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that India is taking a lead for creating an alliance of gas importers all over the world for ‘reasonable and affordable pricing’. Pradhan told the reporters, "We must have cooperation between all the LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) and gas consuming countries, we must create a situation for a reasonable, rational and affordable price.
