The Dollar Business Bureau India-based leading car parts manufacturer Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd (MSSL) has agreed to acquire Finland’s truck wire manufacturer PKC Group for $609 million (571 million euros). “At a meeting of its Board of Directors held on January 19, 2017, MSSL has approved a proposal to launch a voluntary, recommended public tender offer for the acquisition of the outstanding share capital and voting rights of PKC Group Plc (PKC), Finland,” Motherson Sumi said in a statement. Sun Pharma completes Ocular Technologies Sarl acquisition
The Dollar Business Bureau Indian multinational Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. said on Friday that it has concluded the acquisition of Ocular Technologies Sarl (OTS), a US-based specialist in eye care. “All the necessary formalities for closure of the said transaction have been concluded and the company has successfully completed the acquisition of Ocular Technologies Sarl, on December 15, 2016,” Sun Pharma said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). India Inc's M&A deal tally touches $29 bn: Study
Source: PTI Corporate India's merger and acquisition (M&A) spree saw a significant uptrend in October, taking the deal tally for the first 10 months this year to $29 billion, says a Grant Thornton report. According to the assurance, tax and advisory firm, there were 58 M&A transactions worth $3,144 million in October, a jump of 233%. M&As were up 35% in terms of the number of transactions. The significant growth in October values was due to big ticket transactions, the report said, adding that seven deals were valued over $100 million each and one was worth a billion dollar.
