Indias mineral output increases by 9.4% in August

The Dollar Business Bureau India’s mineral production recorded a growth of 9.4% in the month of August this year compared to the same month last year. The total value of mineral production during the month was Rs.18,015 crore. “The index of mineral production of mining and quarrying sector for August 2017 at 92.7, was 9.4% higher as compared to the level in the month of August 2016,” according to a statement issued by the Ministry on Mines on Monday. “The total value of mineral production - excluding atomic and minor minerals - during August 2017 was Rs.18,015 crore,” it said. Mineral production index grew 3.9% in November

The Dollar Business Bureau The mineral production index of mining and quarrying industry for the month of November rose by 3.9% while the overall value of mineral production in the month has been projected at Rs.20,481 crore.  “The index of mineral production of the mining and quarrying sector for November 2016, at 135.9, was 3.9% higher compared to November 2015,” Mines Ministry said in a statement on Friday. “The cumulative growth for the 8-month period April-November of 2016-17 has been 0.3% as compared to the same period in the previous year,” it said.  The total value of mineral output - excluding minor and atomic minerals - in the given month was Rs.20,481 crore.  The highest contribution was from coal at Rs.8,737 crore (43%). Indias iron ore imports ease, exports rise on policy support

Sreenivasa Rao Dasari  India registered a significant surge in exports of iron ore, ores and concentrates of copper and chrome during the first half of the 2016-17 financial year while witnessing an encouraging drop in imports of iron ore, ores and concentrates of aluminium, copper, chrome and manganese. Country's iron ore (HS code: 2601) exports were $432.14 million in April-September of 2016-17 financial year from $191.46 million for whole fiscal of FY-16. India's mineral production worth Rs 17,339 cr in July

The Dollar Business Bureau India’s total mineral production for the month of July was Rs 17,339 crore. This result excludes atomic as well as minor. Of the total production of minerals, the production of coal was the highest, contributing Rs 6238 crore or 36%, the Ministry of Mines revealed to the media. Mineral production up by 2.3% in November 2015

The Dollar Business Bureau    India’s mineral production increased by 2.3% in November last year compared to the output of the same month in 2014 and the total production value crossed Rs.19.300 crore. The index of mineral production of mining and quarrying sector for November stood at 131.5, which is higher by 2.3% compared to November 2014, Mines Ministry said in a statement. The cumulative growth in mineral production during April-November of the current financial year also went up by 2.1% over the corresponding period of previous year.
