Indian auto industry to grow more than 3.5 times by 2026

Indias auto exports decline over 11% in July

The Dollar Business Bureau India’s overall automobile exports have declined 11.53% at 3.05 lakh units in July 2016 when compared to 3.44 lakh units in the same month last year, as per the data released by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on Wednesday. During the month, the exports of Passenger Vehicles (PVs) and Commercial Vehicles (CVs) have registered a growth of 3.23% and 13.21% respectively. But, the exports of three-wheelers and two-wheelers have witnessed a dip by 21.86% and 14.61% respectively in July 2016 over the same month previous year. Manufacturing boost: Govt brings draft of national capital goods policy

The Dollar Business Bureau The government has come up with the draft of a national capital goods policy which seeks to double domestic production and raise exports to at least 40% of the total production, thus increasing India’s share in global exports of capital goods to about 2.5% by 2025. “This is the most critical sector for achieving the vision of ‘Make in India’ as the sector has multiplier effect on other sectors of economy. New scheme to focus on ecosystem of electric and hybrid vehicles
