CCI approves Micromax-Madison India deal
The Dollar Business Bureau Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Tuesday approved the proposed purchase of 2% stake in handset-manufacturer Micromax by Madison India Opportunities Trust Fund (MIOTF), in addition to three other deals involving different companies. The regulator on Monday said in a tweet that it has approved "acquisition of equity stake in Micromax Informatics Limited by Madison India Opportunities Trust Fund". MIOTF is registered as an Alternative Investment Fund with the capital market. Meanwhile, CCI has also approved ICU Medical Inc’s buying of drug major Pfizer's hospira infusion systems business. Glenmark Pharma gets USFDA approval for Zyvox tablets
The Dollar Business Bureau Glenmark Pharma Ltd. (GPL) along with its subsidiary has 16 manufacturing facilities and six R&D centers in four countries Mumbai-based Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. on Tuesday announced that it has received United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) approval for a generic version of anti-bacterial drug Zyvox. The drug Linezolid tablets, 600 mg is the therapeutic equivalent of anti-bacterial Zyvox tablets, 600 mg of Pharmacia and Upjohn Company - a subsidiary of Pfizer Inc. “According to IMS health sales data for the 12 month period ending October 2015, the Zyvox tablets, 600 mg achieved annual sales of approximately $447.6 million,” Glenmark Pharma Ltd. said in a statement.
