Commerce Ministry to integrate government services to e-Biz: DIPP Secretary

Source: PTI The Commerce and Industry Ministry will integrate all the central and state government services to the e-Biz platform in a bid to make the country an easy place to do business, a top official said on Friday. The e-Biz portal provides one-stop clearance platform for investment proposals. "We have created an e-Biz platform where we are integrating (central and state services). 14 services of Government of India have been integrated." FICCI initiates an awareness program with Quality Council of India for manufacturing

The Dollar Business Bureau In association with the Quality Council of India, FICCI on June 26, 2015 initiated an awareness program about the ‘Zero Defect, Zero Effect’ Maturity Assessment Model. “This initiative is intended to give a major fillip to Prime Minister Modi’s vision to manufacture products with 'zero defect' in terms of quality and with 'zero effect' in terms of environmental impact under the ‘Make in India’ umbrella,” said the industry body in a statement.  The Dollar Business Bureau  Indian manufacturing industry must set high standard of their products to enhance competitiveness in the international market, a top government official said on Thursday. According to Commerce Secretary Rajeev Kher, raising the standards of domestic goods and ensuring technical regulations will also help the country in curbing imports of sub-standard products. “A new architecture of global trade is evolving and it is important for us to elevate ourselves in terms of standards and technical regulations for goods and services. India to promote manufacturing of medicinal plants

The Dollar Business Bureau Despite sincere efforts by the National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) under Ministry of Ayurvedic, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), Government of India, to ensure overall development of medicinal plants, the industry still perceives difficulties in procurement of the same. According to the Ministry of AYUSH, certain medicinal plants are threatened and endangered, thereby resulting in shortage of supply.
