Rubber industry asks govt to curb cheap imports

Inverted duty is also very high. This is discouraging and has a negative impact on the domestic rubber production. So people prefer importing rubber and rubber products from China and sell them in the domestic market. Rubber industry demands separate body to promote exports

The All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) has submitted its demand to the Commerce Ministry, seeking a dedicated export promotion council to encourage manufacturing of rubber products and their overseas shipment to tap the international market.
