Confirming the news to the media, a PTI source said, "Apple is selling iPhone SE in India at select stores. The Dollar Business Bureau US-based technology giant Apple Inc on Wednesday said it is starting initial production of iPhone SE in a ‘small number’ in Bengaluru and begin the shipping of its ‘Made in India’ phone to domestic consumers this month. “We are beginning initial production of a small number of iPhone SE in Bengaluru. iPhone SE is the most popular and  powerful phone with a four-inch display in the world and well begin shipping to domestic customers this month,” the company said. The Dollar Business Bureau Having received an encouraging response for its phones, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi said on Tuesday that it is planning to ramp up its production and to add extra assembly lines in its facility.  Presently, Xiaomi India has a contract manufacturing unit with Foxconn, situated near Chennai at Sri City SEZ (Special Economic Zone), Tada and sells several models made at this manufacturing facility.  "The plan is to increase number of (assembly) lines in our existing facility in Sri City (SEZ).
