Naidu campaigns for US investments in urban sector
The Dollar Business Bureau Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu has strongly pitched for US investments in India in urban sector during his recent visit to the US. He held a series of meetings and interactions in New York on Thursday. He explained to the US policy makers, officials and corporates about the opportunities under various initiatives of the government, Ministry of Urban Development said in a statement on Friday. Service Tax : Swachh Bharat Cess - Press Note
PRESS NOTE ON SWACHH BHARAT CESS Swachh Bharat Cess will come into effect from 15th November 2015, at the rate of 0.5% on all services, which are presently liable to service tax. This will translate into a tax of 50 paisa only on every one hundred rupees worth of taxable services. The proceeds from this cess will be used for financing and promoting Swachh Bharat initiatives.
