The airwaves, which are necessary for next generation telecom services, will be auctioned among the likes of Reliance Jio, Vodafone, Idea Cellular, Bharti Airtel. Companies such as Tata Teleservices, Reliance Communications and Aircel will also be competing in the race to buy the spectrum. The auctions will take place between 9 am and 7 pm every day except for the first day when it starts at 10 am. The results of the bidding will be released every day at the end of the auctions. "The Cabinet is likely to take up spectrum auction proposal and the timeline for auction will be prepared after Cabinet approval," according to PTI. The Centre may raise almost Rs.64,000 crore by auctioning around 2300 Mhz of spectrum and Rs.98,995 crore from several taxes and services in the telecom sector.
