Mid-term review of FTP would be completed early to synchronise its roll out with GST, Sitharaman
Press Information Bureau Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the revised Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) would be released early to synchronise the same with the roll out of GST. The core focus of the revised FTP would be promoting exports from the SMEs and high employment potential sectors. Nirmala Sitharaman was chairing a meeting on the mid-term review of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 organised jointly by Department of Commerce and Research and Information System for the Developing Countries (RIS) . Commerce Secretary Rita Teaotia, Chairman RIS Hardeep Singh Puri and DGFT Ajay Bhalla also participated in discussions. Trafalgar expects 20% growth in India this year
The Dollar Business Bureau UK-based travel company Trafalgar expects to achieve about 20% growth in India this year. “India is the fastest growing country for us in Asia, and since last two years we have been witnessing double digit growth from this market. This financial year (January-December) we are expecting 19-20% growth,” Trafalgar (Asia) President Nicholas Lim said. The company, which has already completed three years in the country, earns 12-15% of its total revenue from India. Cabinet approves tourism pact with Cambodia
Source: PIB, Government of India The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday has given its ex-post facto approval for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Cambodia for cooperation in the field of tourism with an aim to promoting bilateral tourism between the two countries.
