Hitachi, Siemens and CII to create pilot projects for Smart Cities
The Dollar Business Bureau Under the Government of India (GoI)’s ‘Smart City’ initiative, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Hitachi India Limited, Siemens Ltd and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), on Tuesday. The MoU aimed at forming a working group in order to create pilot projects and further replicate them throughout the country for setting up 100 smart cities. Union Urban Ministry and USTDA together to pursue smart cities
The Dollar Business Bureau The Union Minister of Urban Development, M Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday has set up city-wise Task Forces for drawing action plans, as a part of the Government of India’s (GoI) Smart City initiative, towards the development of three Indian cities- Ajmer, Allahabad and Visakhapatnam. Setting up of these task forces by the government comes as a follow up to the meeting that was held between the Union Urban Minister and the US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker in New Delhi recently.
