IOC gets USTDA grant for refinery modernisation
The Dollar Business Bureau The United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has given a grant to government-owned Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) in order to support their efforts in the modernisation of refinery. “The programme will help IOC analyse options for optimising its refining operations to produce cleaner fuels from its by-product streams, which will help the company improve efficiencies and reduce emissions at its refineries to meet Indian environmental standards,” USTDA said in a statement. However, the USTDA did not provide details on the financial commitment made. India to receive Rs 5,681 crores for solar parks
The Dollar Business Bureau A pact was signed by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and Asian Development Bank (ADB) for providing Rs 5,681 crore. The fund will be provided to install and develop solar parks all over India, as a part of the clean energy drive. M Teresa Kho, Country Director, India Resident Mission, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Jonathan Addleton, Mission Director, USAID for India signed the agreement. The US Embassy in a press statement said that, “Through the agreement, USAID will align the technical resources of two of its programs to support ADB's investments in the development of solar parks and renewable energy transmission infrastructure in states at the forefront of India's efforts to promote clean energy." ...
