The country's milk output may increase by 4.8% to 154 million tonnes assuming a normal monsoon in 2016, while domestic consumption of milk is forecast to rise by 5% to 62.75 million tonnes in the same period, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) said. “Overall dairy exports (from India) are minimal due to high domestic consumption. By accounting for 26.5% of total production, India is expected to be the leading producer of cotton during 2015-16, the report added. The Dollar Business Bureau Increasing domestic consumption and weak demand in the European markets have led to a continuous fall in India’s coffee exports. The value of coffee exported by India in April 2015 was $77.5 million, about 25% lower than that recorded a month ago, as per data issued by the Ministry of Commerce.
