Switzerlands President Leuthard begins her India visit today
The Dollar Business Bureau Switzerland’s President Doris Leuthard has started her three-day visit to India from Thursday, which is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and to discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest. The visit of Swiss President to India assumes high significance as India is looking for its entry into the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG), the 48-nation nuclear club, of which Switzerland is currently the chair. Leuthard is accompanied by a huge business delegation and will hold discussions with Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. “Both countries share common views on many major global issues. Malaysia to invest $30 billion in Indian infra projects
The Dollar Business Bureau Malaysia on Thursday proposed to invest $30 billion in urban development and housing projects in India. A 30-member Malaysian delegation, led by Minister of Works Haji Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof, met Minister of Urban Development and Housing M Venkaiah Naidu to discuss investment opportunities in developing and redeveloping urban areas under the Smart City Mission. “Redevelopment of New Delhi Railway Station adjoining area as a mini-smart city is proposed to be taken up with an investment of about $24 billion. Govt to announce first 20 smart cities by year end

Next year 40 cities, and the remaining 40 cities will be picked next to next year (in 2017),” said Union Minister of Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu. Minister for faster approvals to boost investments in infra sector
