Inbox July 2015

We value your feedback, whether criticism or appreciation. And here are a few that hit our mailboxes in June 2015

TDB-June-2015-CoverDear Editor-in-Chief, thanks for your pragmatic views on competitiveness in your letter “Hope is not a strategy”. Sorry for writing to you late, due to hectic year-end evaluations at IIT Bombay. Your understanding of “Factor Driven” stage is very good. Choice of industries to boost India’s hi-tech exports in that issue is also apt. Keep up on efforts to boost exports.

I read your magazine a few days ago and I must say that it has some really useful information for the EXIM community. Your website too has a lot of good articles on the subject of foreign trade and offers some worthy data and analyses.

This has reference to the interview of DG, DGFT on the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020 published in the May 2015 issue of The Dollar Business. The interview is interesting as it explains the nuances of the concept on which the new Foreign Trade Policy has been created. We at Handloom Export Promotion Council (under the aegis of Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India) are interested in publishing some excerpts from the aforesaid interview in our in-house newsletter “Handloom Export” for the benefit of member exporters duly acknowledging source of the article.
