Hyderabad-based Cyient on Wednesday announced it has signed an MoU with US-based ANSYS Inc to establish a simulation lab at Cyient's experience center in Hyderabad.
Pennsylvania-based engineering simulation services provider ANSYS Inc’s technological expertise, together with Cyient’s service delivery, design and operational excellence, will help develop innovative proof-of-concepts (POC) for Cyient and its clienteles.
“The partnership is aligned with its long-term vision of establishing itself as a design-build-maintain partner to its clients worldwide and ANSYS will provide access to various training materials, curricula, and eLearning systems for the latest versions of their product platforms to help achieve this objective,” Cyient said in a statement.
The simulation lab in Hyderabad will possess a seating capacity of about 12 and will contribute in driving innovative design thinking to create POC in areas such as Additive Manufacturing, Internet of Things (IoTs), Mechatronics and other areas identified as growth engines for future.
"This is the next step towards encouraging associates to not only address product design and engineering challenges across industries but also to capitalise on emerging opportunities in the marketplace. I am very optimistic about the learning and innovation possibilities this lab will open up," Cyient CEO Krishna Bodanapu said.
