Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal

  In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) and (2) of section 36 of the Recovery of Debts due to Bank and Financial Institutions Act, 1993 (51 of 1993), the Central Government hereby makes following rules to amend the Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal (Financial and Administrative Power) Rules, 1997, namely:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal (Financial and Administrative Power) (Amendment) Rules, 2016.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal (Financial and Administrative Power) Rules, 1997, throughout the rules, for the words “Presiding Officer”, wherever they occur, the word “Chairperson” shall be substituted.
