In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Recovery of Debts due to Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 1993 (51 of 1993), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services, number S.O.1641(E), dated the 2nd May, 2016, published in the Gazette of India, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 4th May, 2016, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table,-

(i) against serial number 1, relating to Debts Recovery Tribunal-1, Ernakulam, for the entries under column (4), relating to area of jurisdiction, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:-

“Ernakulam, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Palakkad, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts in the State of Kerala and Union Territory of Lakshadweep”;

(ii) against serial number 2, relating to Debts Recovery Tribunal-2, Ernakulam, for the entries under column (4), relating to area of jurisdiction, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:-

“Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Thrissur and Idukki districts in the State of Kerala.”
