Handicrafts fair begins; exporters to woo 5,000 overseas buyers

IHGF Delhi Fair Autumn 2015 will be held from 14 – 18 October, 2015 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, NCR Delhi. Around 2,750 exhibitors including marts, drawn from all over India will be exhibiting home, lifestyles and fashion products spread over 14 halls covering approximately 1,90,000 sq.m. More than 5,000 buyers are expected to source their requirements at this fair.  Buyers from countries like USA, UK, Japan, France, Italy, Canada, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, China, Australia, Philippines, Hong Kong and many more countries have already confirmed their visit to the fair.  Buyers from Latin American region particularly Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Panama, Chile, Central Asia, Africa  and middle east will also be sourcing their requirements at this fair, said Dinesh Kumar, Chairman, EPCH. Apart from large number of overseas buyers, a sizeable number of domestic volume retail buyers such as Reliance Retail, Fab Furnish, West Side, Shoppers Stop, Land Mark Group and renowned e-commerce companies such as eBay, Flipkart, Bed Bath & More,  Pepper Fry, Urban Ladder and  many more have also confirmed their visit to the fair for bulk sourcing, said Shri Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director, EPCH. For smooth functioning of the mega event, one of the member exporters V S Goel of M/s Goel Exports, Delhi has been nominated as President, IHGF Delhi Fair Autumn 2015 (Reception Committee) and Khemchand Khatri of M/s Khemchand Handicrafts, Jodhpur; Sharad Chandra Gupta of M/s Chandra Exports, Firozabad, UP; and Avdesh Agarwal of M/s Shree Sai De Art, Moradabad have been nominated as Vice Presidents, IHGF Delhi Fair. IHGF was started in the year 1994; it has reached its 40th edition with Autumn 2015. Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) which is a nodal agency for promotion and development of handicrafts has been organizing the Indian Handicrafts & Gifts Fair for the last 21 years. IHGF Delhi Fair Autumn 2015 is expected to generate huge amount of enquiries and orders.
