Indigenous crude oil production during June'15 dips as compared to June'14

Cumulative crude oil production during April-June, 2015 was 9305.507 TMT, which is 2.66% higher than target for the period, and 0.86% lower than the production during corresponding period of last year

Indigenous crude oil production (including condensate) during June, 2015 was 3101.005 TMT which is 2.99% higher than the target for the month and 0.67% lower than the production during corresponding period of last year. Cumulative crude oil production during April-June, 2015 was 9305.507 TMT which is 2.66% higher than target for the period and 0.86% lower than the production during corresponding period of last year. Unit-wise and state-wise crude oil production is given at annexure-I. Unit-wise crude oil production (including condensate) for the month of June, 2015 and cumulatively for the period April-June, 2015 vis-à-vis same period of last year has been shown in table-1.1 and month-wise in figure-1.1 Table 1.1: Crude Oil Production (TMT) ONGC’s crude oil production during June, 2015 was 1853.838 TMT which is 0.21% higher than the target for the month and 0.16% higher than the production achieved in the corresponding month of last year. ONGC’s cumulative production during April-June, 2015 was 5568.918 TMT which is 0.31% higher than the cumulative target and 1.17% higher than the production during the corresponding period of last year.ONGC’s production achievements during June, 2015 are higher than target and production during corresponding month of last year due to better performance in off-shore field. However, there was a shortfall in production in onshore field due to following reason: • Production in Mehsana fields was affected due to increase in water cut, decline in air injection and power shut-down • Closure of gas lift wells caused by leakage in Hazira Motwan Gas Pipeline. • Production affected in Ankleshwar fields due to high water cut, aging of field and reservoir issue. OIL’s crude oil production during June 2015 was 271.279 TMT which is 6.03% lower than the target for the month and 2.39% lower than the production achieved in the corresponding month of last year. OIL’s cumulative production during April-June, 2015 was 836.980 TMT which is 3.51% lower than the cumulative target and 0.18% higher than the production during the corresponding period of last year. Reasons for shortfall in production are given below: • Loss incurred due to environmental reasons on account of bandhs & blockades. • Loss in well head potential due to rise in water cut and sand ingression problems in few wells of greater Hapjan field. • Less than expected increase in Wellhead potential from drilling operations. Private/JVs’ crude oil production during June, 2015 was 975.888 TMT which is 11.89% higher than the target for the month and 1.74% lower than production of corresponding month of last year. Private/JVs’ cumulative production during April-June, 2015 was 2899.609 TMT which is 9.60% higher than the cumulative target and 4.82% lower than the production during the corresponding period of last year. Reasons for shortfall in production are given below: · Underperformance of MA wells in KG-DWN-98/30 Field, Eastern offshore. · Increase in water cut in existing wells in CB-ON/3 field and production operation discontinued as wells are not commercially viable at present in CB-ONN-2002/3 in Gujarat. · New Wells lined up for production in RJ-ON/6 in Rajasthan. Natural Gas Production during June, 2015 was 2722.925 MMSCM which is 3.22% lower than the target for the month and 5.93% lower than the production during corresponding period of last year. Cumulative natural gas production during April-June, 2015 was 8244.567 MMSCM which is 1.91% lower than the target for the period and 4.20% lower than the production during corresponding period of last year. Unit-wise and state-wise natural gas production is given at annexure-II. Unit-wise natural gas production for the month of June, 2015 and cumulatively for the period April-June, 2015 vis-à-vis same period of last year has been shown in table-2.1 and month-wise in figure-2.1. Table 2.1: Natural Gas Production (MMSCM) ONGC’s natural gas production during June, 2015 was 1803.510 MMSCM which is 4.47% lower than the target for the month and 5.51% lower than the production achieved in the corresponding month of last year. ONGC’s cumulative natural gas production during April-June, 2015 was 5483.090 MMSCM which is 2.16% lower than the cumulative target and 3.01% lower than the production during the corresponding period of last year. Reasons for the shortfall are given below: • Less associated gas production and less offtake & lack of consumers in Assam regions. • Less offtake by consumers in Rajasthan and Tripura. • Production affected due to M/s GAIL’s consumer shutdown in Tamil Nadu. • Closure of wells due to unplanned shut down of GAIL Gas line from Ahmedabad/Kalol to Ramol. Stoppage of gas off-take by GAIL from South Kadi to GAIL GIDC from 18th June onwards and yet to be revived in Gujarat. OIL’s natural gas production during June, 2015 was 225.044 MMSCM which is 1.96% lower than the target for the month and 1.12% higher than the production achieved in the corresponding month of last year. OIL’s cumulative natural gas production during April-June, 2015 was 641.642 MMSCM which is 6.96% lower than the cumulative target and 5.20% lower than the production during the corresponding period of last year. Reasons for the shortfall are given below: • Less drawl by Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) due to N II plant shut down because of malfunction of Captive Power Plant (CPP) generator since 19.06.2015. Plant started on June 29, 2015 after maintenance. Unit N-III tripped on June 24, 2015 due to Force Draft (FD) fan bearing damage. Unit started on June 27, 2015. • Less drawl by Namrup Thermal Power Station (NTPS) – Due to maintenance of Gas Turbine (GT) No. 3 & 4. • Less drawl by North East Electrical Power Corporation (NEEPCO) – Due to maintenance of Gas Compressor no. 1, Gas Turbine no. 4 and due to low system demand. • Less drawl by Brahmaputra Crackers and Polymer Limited (BCPL) than the committed quantity. Private/JVs’ natural gas production during June, 2015 was 694.371 MMSCM which is 0.25% lower than the target for the month and 9.02% lower than the production achieved in the corresponding month of last year. Private/JV’s cumulative natural gas production during April-June, 2015 was 2119.835 MMSCM which is 0.39% higher than the cumulative target and 6.86% lower than the production during the corresponding period of last year. Reasons for the shortfall are given below: • Underperformance of MA wells in KG-DWN-98/30 Field. • Wells producing on intermittent basis in CB-ON-2 fields. • New Wells lined up for production in RJ-ON/6, Rajasthan. • Incidental CBM gas being produced in small quantities & depends on consumers in Sohagpur East & West. 3. Refinery Production (in terms of Crude oil processed): Refinery production during June, 2015 was 19483.698 TMT which is 5.94% higher than the target for the month and 7.49% higher than the production during corresponding period of last year. Cumulative refinery production during April-June, 2015 was 56277.432 TMT which is 2.77% higher than the target for the period and 4.22% higher than the production during corresponding period of last year. Unit-wise refinery production is given at annexure-III. Unit-wise refinery production for the month of June, 2015 and cumulatively for the period April-June, 2015 vis-à-vis same period of last year has been shown in table-3.1 and month-wise in figure-3.1. Table 3.1: Refinery Production (in terms of crude oil processed) PSU Refineries’ production during June, 2015 was 10558.629 TMT which is 8.27% higher than the target for the month and 11.36% higher than the production achieved in the corresponding month of last year. Cumulative refinery production of PSUs during April-June, 2015 was 30588.411 TMT which is 2.60% higher than the cumulative target and 8.07% higher than the production during the corresponding period of last year. Reasons for shortfalls in PSU refineries are given below: • IOCL, Barauni: Due to planned Shutdown in CRU for catalyst regeneration in Apr-May, 2015. • IOC, Gujarat: Due to planned M&I Shutdown of all major units in Apr-May, 2015. • IOC, Haldia: Throughput is restricted due to Naphtha containment. • IOC, Mathura: Due to Exchanger problem in DHDT (Diesel Hydro Deep Treatment Unit) in Apr-May, 2015. • IOC, Digboi: Throughput is restricted due to exchanger problem in HDT (Hydro Deep Treatment Unit) in June, 2015 and planned M&I shutdown of major units (CDU, CRU, DHT etc.) during Q-1/2015-16. • IOC, Panipat: Lower than MoU due to high stocks of Naphtha (PNC interruption) & black oil. Production in JV refineries during June, 2015 was 1498.104 TMT which is 21.04% higher than the target for the month and 21.41% higher than the production achieved in the corresponding month of last year. Cumulative refinery production in JV refineries during April-June, 2015 was 3891.776 TMT which is 22.86% higher than the cumulative target and 0.53 % higher than the production during the corresponding period of last year. Production in private refineries during June, 2015 was 7426.965 TMT which is 0.35% higher than the target for the month and 0.23% higher than the production achieved in the corresponding month of last year. Cumulative refinery production in private refineries during April-June, 2015 was 21797.245 TMT which is 0.09 % higher than the cumulative target and 0.13% lower than the production during the corresponding period of last year. The refinery-wise details of the capacity utilization and Production of petroleum products during the month of June, 2015 and cumulatively for the period April-June, 2015 vis-à-vis April-June, and 2014 are given in Annexures-IV to V respectively.
