Inox Wind wins 50-MW order from Atria Power

India’s wind energy solution provider Inox Wind Ltd has secured an order for 50 MW wind power project from Atria Wind Power on Monday. This project will be commissioned by March next year in the state of Gujarat, the company said in a statement.
According to Inox Wind, the order comprises the supply as well as the installation of 25 units of 113 metre rotor diametre turbine combined with the 120 metre hub height tower. The combination of technologically advanced wind turbine variant together with the higher hub height enables it to maximise the wind resources at the site.
Inox Wind will provide end to end solutions to Atria Wind Power as part of this turnkey order. The wind energy service provider will not only develop and construct the wind power project but also provide long term operations and maintenance services after commissioning of the project, the company said.
Inox Wind provides complete wind power solutions that include wind resource assessment, land acquisition, entire site infrastructure development, power evacuation system construction, the wind turbine generators (WTGs) supply, long term operations such as erection, commissioning and maintenance services along with post-commissioning support.
Kailash Tarachandani, Chief Executive Officer of Inox Wind said that the success of Inox’s 2 MW platform in India has encouraged the company to expand their portfolio of the projects in the state of Gujarat. The 113-metre rotor diametre turbine together with the 120 metre hub height tower minimises the cost of energy and further strengthens the company’s competitive position as the fastest growing wind energy solutions provider in the country, he said.
Inox Wind is having three manufacturing plants in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. The plant near Ahmedabad, Gujarat manufactures Blades and Tubular Towers. Una facility in Himachal Pradesh produces Hubs and Nacelles. All of these will be prepared in the new manufacturing facility at Barwani in Madhya Pradesh. This facility will double Inox Wind’s manufacturing capacity to 1,600 MW per annum.
