Green power hits record low prices with auction of 1000 MW Wind projects
The Dollar Business Bureau The government's commitment to augment commercial production and use of renewable energy has, for the second time brought cheer, as wind power tariffs fall to record lows of Rs. 3.46 per unit. So far, prices have ranged in the 3.9 - 5.9 bracket. As many as five bidders quoted all-time-low prices in a fierce auction held by government body Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). A capacity of 1,000 MW was auctioned on February 24, 2017. This is in line with the Centre's promise to increase by approximately five times, India's renewable energy production to 175 GW by 2020. Inox Wind wins 50-MW order from Atria Power
The Dollar Business Bureau India’s wind energy solution provider Inox Wind Ltd has secured an order for 50 MW wind power project from Atria Wind Power on Monday. This project will be commissioned by March next year in the state of Gujarat, the company said in a statement. According to Inox Wind, the order comprises the supply as well as the installation of 25 units of 113 metre rotor diametre turbine combined with the 120 metre hub height tower. The combination of technologically advanced wind turbine variant together with the higher hub height enables it to maximise the wind resources at the site. MP Govt signs $1 bn MoU with Chinas Sany group
The Dollar Business Bureau The government of Madhya Pradesh on Monday has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China’s Sany Group, worth $1 billion. The company has shown interest in investing in 500 MW wind energy sector and constructing industrial infrastructure, revealed a government spokesperson. Speaking on the occasion, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh assured full cooperation to the Chinese company. The Chief Minister also invited the company to take part in the Global Investors' Summit (GIS) to be held in Indore from October 22-23 this year. Suzlon installs 900 MW projects in India in FY16
The Dollar Business Bureau Suzlon group, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, announced that it has done commissioning of 900 MW projects of wind energy in the financial year 2015-16. Out of which, the commissioning 520 MW is done in the fourth quarter of 2015-16. This marks 100 percent growth in installations by Suzlon, when compared to 442 MW executed in the previous fiscal year. Suzlon continues to stand ahead in Indian renewable energy market with cumulative share of 36 percent and presence in 8 states. Madhya Pradesh signs four MoUs with Singapore
Source: PTI Madhya Pradesh on Thursday signed four MOUs with Singapore, including one on a 1,000-megawatt wind energy plant in western part of the state. The Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) were signed during a business seminar where visiting Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan gave an insight into the business potential, assuring that the Indian state has 25,000-hectare land bank for setting up industries.
