Notification Number S.O.3724(E) dated 10th December 2013 rescinded Sl-46

WHEREAS, M/s. OPGS Power Gujarat Pvt. Ltd, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a an Engineering Special Economic Zone at Village Bhadreshwar, Taluka Mundra, District Kutch, in the State of Gujarat;

AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, had notified an area of 50.75.35 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O.3724(E) dated 10th December, 2013;

AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government has approved the request of M/s. OPGS Power Gujarat Pvt. Ltd for transfer of Letter of Approval to its subsidiary company M/s. OPGS Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd vide letter dated 25th April, 2014.

AND, WHEREAS, M/s. OPGS Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd has now proposed for full de-notification of 50.75.35 hectares area at the above Special Economic Zone;

AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Gujarat has given its “No Objection” to the proposal vide their letter No. IC/Infra/SEZ-Cell/1198995, dated 21st June, 2016;

AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Kandla Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for full de-notification of the Special Economic Zone;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
