Prevention of Money-laundering (Appeal) Rules, 2005 amended (1st Amendment of 2016)

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (r) and clause (x) of subsection (2) of section 73, read with section 35 of the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002 (15 of 2003), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Prevention of Money-laundering (Appeal) Rules, 2005, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Prevention of Money-laundering (Appeal) Amendment Rules, 2016.

    (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Prevention of Money-laundering (Appeal) Rules, 2005, in rule 3, in sub-rule (2), in the Table, against serial number 3, in the second column, the words, letters and figure “and upto Rs.1 lakh” shall be omitted.
