Minimum Export Price is the minimum rate below which exports are not allowed. The Dollar Business Bureau In the wake of record production of pulses last year, the Government on Thursday removed restrictions on exports of all varieties of pulses so that farmers can get remunerative prices as rates in the domestic market have crashed below the minimum support price (MSP). “The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given its approval for removal of prohibition on export of all types of pulses to ensure that farmers have greater choice in marketing their produce and in getting better remuneration for their produce,” said an official statement. The popular variety of rice overcame the exports of buffalo meat to take the position of the top most exporting commodity in the April-June quarter of 2017-18. Canada allows imports of Indian pomegranates, banana and okra for the first time
The Dollar Business Bureau Canada has allowed market access with certain conditions to Indian horticultural products like custard apples, pomegranates, okra, bananas, mangoes – this was relayed to the Indian industry by India’s Agricultural and Food Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) confirming the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIAs) approval. The conditions for the shipments that CFIA has specified included – origin of the material be clarified in a detailed manner on the shipping documents and that the produce is free of soil, pests and leaves. Livestock farmers urge Govt to take measures to resume egg exports to Qatar

The latest crackdown of illegal abattoirs in Uttar Pradesh is in compliance with the order of Supreme Court to check environment pollution and to protect the health of people, the Minister added. First consignment of Indian mangoes arrive in Australia

The mangoes from India have been exported to Australia after the protocol was revised last month allowing the Indian fruit to cross into the Australian shores.
