India to promote manufacturing of medicinal plants

Centre to promote exports of micro pharma enterprises
Sai Nikesh | The Dollar Business In a move to boost pharmaceutical industry, the Government of India is working towards the promotion of exports, especially by the micro and small enterprises of the pharma sector. This was informed by the Union Commerce Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday. The Union Minister informed that the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) was unaware of the fact that majority of small pharma manufacturers are working for bigger pharmaceutical units which export the same under their brand name. India, Mauritius ink key pacts for bilateral cooperation
