Japan to associate with India for development of three smart cities

The Dollar Business Bureau Japanese Ambassador to India Kenji Hiramatsu's meet with Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, on 6 Jan 2017, proved fruitful for India's smart city aspirations. Japan articulated its interest in the urban development initiatives of the Indian Government and decided to be a partner. BMW rolls out 50,000th car from Chennai unit

The Dollar Business Bureau   Germany’s luxury car manufacturer BMW has rolled out its 50,000th car made in its Chennai plant, the company said in a statement on Thursday. The rolled out car was an all-new BMW 7 Series that was launched at the Auto Expo 2016. The model has received huge response from the luxury car enthusiasts. It boasts of futuristic technologies that include Touch Command System, Wireless Charging, Sky Lounge and Remote Control Parking. Australian pizza chain to add 300 stores in 4 yrs

PTI As part of its expansion plans, Australian pizza chain Eagle Boys is looking to add another 300 stores to its network in next four years. "We plan to open a chain of 300 stores over the next three to four years. In Australia, Eagle Boys Pizza has around 200 outlets," Eagle Boys Pizza India director and CEO G B Singh said. He further said that India sales could be around Rs 150 crore over the next 3-4 years covering the top 50 cities of the country. By the end of this fiscal, the number of stores would be 50 from the current 18 in the country, he added. The current outlet base is spread across Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata.

IndiGo to start 14 new flights from May 2016

The Dollar Business Bureau   IndiGo, a low-cost carrier, is going to add a fleet of new aircrafts to its network from May, to make its presence felt in the fastest growing aviation market in India. The domestic market rose by 25 percent in the year ending March 31, 2016, compared to the records of last year. The airliner, headquartered in Gurugram, will add 14 new flights on the domestic routes. This includes daily non-stop flights connecting Bengaluru to Ahmedabad, Bengaluru to Jaipur, Kolkata to Hyderabad and Chennai to Kochi from May 1. Scoot to launch its flights in India

The Dollar Business Bureau Scoot Pte Ltd., the low-cost Singapore airlines will launch its flight services to Singapore from Chennai, Amritsar and Jaipur in order to mark its presence in the international aviation market. The flight services from Chennai and Amritsar to Singapore will start from 24th of May, while the services from Jaipur to Singapore is likely to commence from 2nd October, 2016.
