The Dollar Business Bureau The Indian Cabinet has given its approval to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and the Ministry of Agriculture in the State of Palestine on agriculture cooperation. This was signed in May 2017, when Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs had visited the country. What could seem to be an innocuous agreement, one should also look at the extra efforts on the part of the Indian government to balance its ties with Israel, Palestine, Iran and the West Asian countries. Climate change to hurt global financial assets
The Dollar Business Bureau Climate change could wipe off the value of global assets by $2.5 trillion, according to the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) new set of economic modeling. “Under a business-as-usual emissions path, this could cut $2.5 trillion off their value. However, under a worst-case scenario this could rise to $24.2 trillion,” said the global body, highlighting the quantum of the impact. Source: PTI Indian mining giant Adani's $16.5-billion controversy-hit coal mine project in Australia on Monday faced a fresh legal challenge from an environmental group which sought quashing of a new government approval on grounds that it would harm the fragile Great Barrier Reef and add to climate change. The mega project located in Queensland's Galilee Basin was last month granted re-approval by EnvironmentMinister Greg Hunt.
