CIL aims to produce 1bn tonne of coal: Goyal

The Dollar Business Bureau Coal India Ltd has set a target to produce one billion tonnes of coal, said Union Minister of State, independent charge for Coal and Power, Piyush Goyal, on Wednesday. The target before the Ministry of Coal and CIL to attain one billion of output is very much challenging, he said. Goyal was addressing the media at the Korba district headquarters in Chhattisgarh, when he stated that the level of power shortage in the country came down to 2.1% from the previous 4.2%.
