Vardhan inaugurates world-class CGMP facility in Jammu
The Dollar Business Bureau A newly built, state-of-the-art Plant for extraction, formulation, packaging of medicinal plant based phyto-pharmaceutical drugs under internationally accepted GMP guidelines was inaugurated by the Union Minister for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Harsh Vardhan and Minister of State for DoNER (Independent Charge), Jitendra Singh, at CSIR-IIIM, in Jammu on 20th October, 2016. The facility is the first Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) in India, set up in the public sector. The Drug & Food Control Organisation, Jammu & Kashmir has issued a manufacturing license to the facility, the news release said.
