The event is being organized by India Pharma Machinery Manufacturers Association (IPMMA) and GPE Exports Pvt. Ltd. Hosted in association with the EEPC India and PHARMEXCIL, the expo largely concentrates on the Indian Pharma engineering and the Indian Pharmaceutical Industry. Demand slump in neighbouring countries hits Indias engineering exports
The Dollar Business Bureau India’s engineering exports has been witnessing a steep fall in the last couple of months mainly due to the demand slowdown in the neighbouring countries. As per the latest data released by the government on Thursday, India’s exports of engineering products registered a negative growth of 22.81% in September this year compared to the figure of the same month a year ago. However, the rate of decline was less than that of August when it went down by 29.5% year-on-year. South Asia becomes the top destination for Indian engineering exports
The Dollar Business Bureau Government of India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy got yet another boost as South Asia became the top destination for engineering exports from India in April 2015, according to a report by the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC India). While India’s overall engineering exports clocked a miniscule growth of 0.2% (year-on-year) in April 2015, the shipments to South Asia witnessed a massive jump of 90.12% during the same period, followed by North America (25.62%), European Union (-0.8% year-on-year).
