Telangana IT/ITeS exports up 13.26% at Rs.75000 cr

Sharath Chowdary Information technology (IT) and Information technology enabled services (ITES) exports from Telangana have recorded a healthy growth of 13.26% at Rs.75,070 crore in FY 2016 when compared to Rs.66,276 crore in FY 2015. This is better than the overall India’s IT/ITeS exports growth rate at 12.33% in FY 2016. Telangana is moving decisively towards achieving the set target of doubling the IT/ITeS exports by 2019, the state IT Secretary, Jayesh Ranjan told the Dollar Business Bureau. New policy to set up call centres in smaller towns

 The Dollar Business Bureau The government is likely to put in place a policy to set up a large number of call centres in smaller towns across the country. A new BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) policy has been finalised and around 48,000 seats have already been identified, according to IT and Telecommunication Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. “I have finalised a policy for call centres in smaller towns.
